Key Benefits

• Innovative diatomaceous earth filtration system – removes particles as small as 2–5 microns, delivering crystal-clear water free of sediment and cloudiness.
• Minimal maintenance – rugged construction and durable materials reduce the need for daily inspections and servicing.
• Dual upper and lower tank connection – heavy-duty clamp ensures a leak-proof seal during high-pressure operation.
• Curved grid layout – optimizes water flow, enhances filtration efficiency, and simplifies backwashing without wasting time.
• One-piece construction with base – easy installation and excellent stability during operation; ideal for residential and commercial pools.

Description

The Hayward ProGrid DE3620 (D660) diatomaceous earth filter is a professional-grade unit designed for public pools, hotels, and large residential pools. Made from reinforced polyester, it resists UV radiation and moisture, ensuring long-lasting performance in the toughest conditions. The filter uses a module of nylon grids, with diatomaceous earth as the filter media. This media coats the grids and provides filtration down to 2–5 microns – a more effective method than disposable cartridges or sand filtration.

Thanks to the latest grid module technology and a dual-clamp system, the filter operates quietly, runs stably, and requires almost no attention during the season. Backwashing is quick and efficient, significantly reducing the amount of water used for cleaning. Additionally, diatomaceous earth filtration can cut chemical consumption by 50–70% – saving money and reducing environmental impact. The unit has a flow rate of 16 m³/h, side connections with a diameter of 50 mm, and a diatomaceous earth charge of 2 kg.

Important: The manufacturer does not recommend using algaecides based on quaternary ammonium compounds, PHMB, or flocculants, as they can reduce the effectiveness of diatomaceous earth filtration. The filter is compatible with standard hydraulic equipment – pumps and valves. It pairs perfectly with modern pool control systems. With a 2-year warranty and the Hayward reputation, this is a reliable, long-term choice.
